The first presents us with a strange apparition. Immersed in a forest of gigantic sequoias, an 86-meter-tall monolith of burnt wood appears. At its base, a trench of black sand cuts through the earth and extends to the roots, leading us into the monolith.
The other immerses us in a rapidly growing space. We follow a small robot as it carves its way through a universe of compact wood, hollowing out the figure of General Sherman within it. The largest tree in the world. The living being with the greatest biomass on Earth.
Two events that, from matter and time, speak to us of creation. Of the profound contradictions that fuel the engine of human action. Of the relentless determination never to stop. Of tragedy, and the captivating beauty hidden behind it.
