Starting with a hyper-realistic 3D model of the set, which we create ourselves, we develop an interactive experience that allows the film's Art Department to explore infinite possibilities. They can make changes to materials and colors, lighting adjustments, different furniture layouts, or even capture and download images. There are two modes of use for the tool:
The virtual reality mode, which is much more immersive and allows you to experience the space as if you were truly there; and the computer mode, which is a bit more agile and flexible and allows you to use it anywhere.
We have designed the entire tool with meticulous attention to detail, aiming for the most intuitive, comfortable, and natural user experience possible. The idea is to create a completely autonomous application that is simple and doesn't require a technical team by your side.
Once the set has been validated with HAL, the tool's second mode becomes available. This time, it's for the Directing Department. This is the "Planning" mode, where filming can be virtually simulated, leveraging the hyper-realistic environment that has been created. We model different scenes previously agreed upon with the team, and in them, we insert characters, objects, or vehicles and animate them as a reference so they can be virtually filmed within the tool.
You can capture shots, create camera movements, and takes; and even a storyboard where takes can be linked together to build sequences or even the entire film. All this content can be downloaded and shared with the rest of the team to help communicate what is being sought during filming.
